School Admissions (including Reception and In-Years Admissions)

Hillshott Infant School is two form entry (2 classes of 30 children) covering the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Hertfordshire County Council coordinate admissions to our school (including appeals).

There will be school tours for families considering September 2026 Reception Admissions, on the following dates at both 3.30pm and 4pm;

• 13th November
• 17th November
• 1st December

There are places for 10 families on each tour. We request that only adults attend so we can answer any questions you may have and so that everyone can hear responses.

Nursery Admissions

We (the school) manage our own Nursery admissions. 

September 2026 Nursery admissions open later in the Autumn, at which time we will be conducting tours. Please check back for more details.

Contact the school directly for in-year admissions for the 2025-26 academic year.

As a school-based nursery, opening times match our school day (8.30am to 3.10pm Monday to Friday term time only) and we don't offer additional wrap-around hours.

We offer both

• 15hrs sessions (either mornings 8.30 to 11.30am or afternoons 12.10 to 3.10pm)
• 30hrs session (8.30am to 2.30pm) with the option to buy-in additional hours up to 3.10pm.
